Rome 2 is the reason I used some of my tax return money to upgrade my computer. I just hope my video card can handle it. It is my computer's weakest link. I hope they use the old RTW way of building an army. I like some aspects of shogun 2 but not others. I like the veteran units but I don't like the retainers. If you have the wrong retainers or don't have a retainer your enemy does, you could be at a great disadvantage. I liked the old RTW way of building an army where you took into account your factions strengths and weaknesses as well as your enemy's. The result of a battle was based on knowledge of the factions, how well you could build an army based on that knowledge, and how well that army was handled in battle.

If you can run Shogun2 you'll be able to run Rome2 no prob.
I guess your talking about online play Joe, yeah I know what you mean. Not sure how they'll do it but on shogun2 they have to use slight variations of the same region/culture to make different factions. On Rome2 they'll actually have different factions to work with so I assume knowing the different strengths and weaknesses will become more of a factor again.
Glad to see you guys are as excited as I am. Yeah your right Teuton, its almost time for a new section...

Hey Josephus good to see you again! I will be getting new pc by the time its released too, I will not let bad pc or connection keep me from this one. I hope they do army building the like they did in RTW as well.

Hmm, I had another thought. Maybe they dont have a campaign made for them yet but they'll still be playable for online MP? Hope so.
Man they sure are being stingy with the game info...
