I've seen some youtube videos, the synoptic type stuff and seem to find them playing badass maps that ive never seen. Is this the map pack you think? Do a decent number of players have these? And should I already be seeing the map names in game, even if I don't have the pack? I'm getting annoyed with the vanilla, and would certainly want to take my fighting to the untraversed frontier. Any info would be highly appreciated.

Not sure, I havent tested this one yet. It definately will make you incompatable with anyone else who hasnt installed it. You should be able to tell if anyones using it by the map names in the lobby and if you make back ups you should be ok to try it out.
