INVITATION :

The Rise and Fall of Rome - RTW 1vs.1/2vs.2 Tournament Invitation

Ruleset for 1 vs.1

Requested patch version

Patch 1.5 http://www.totalwar.com (for Rome Total War)

General Rules

This is a - Rome Total War- 1vs1 Tournament and will feature 16/32/64 players who will fight in pure knockout style.

Its only allowed to play with original cd-keys. Players who get caught and pided playing with different cd-keys (not only in the tourney itself but in general) will also get disqualified.

This is a challenging tournament but polite behaviour and sportsmanship is required at all times. No foul language shall be tolerated. Tournaments integrate the community. Therefore we wish to have a place of peace here.

Format Rules

Each participant will play a "best of 5" (3 wins out of max 5 games) formula for all rounds, excepting Great Final will play a "best of 7ยจ(4 wins out of max 7 games).
You will have 2 weeks in which to organise and play your match. A match negotiation thread with deadline of games to be played will be created by the adminstrators, clearly titled "Player X vs Player Y". If a participant failes to reply to this thread an automatic forfeit will be given to the participant who did reply.

After a match it is absolutely imperative you take a screenshot of your victory and post it in the matchthread.

Failure To Play Matches

Failure to play matches will be evaluated on a case by case basis. If matches are not played before the deadline, we will consider each case individually, and if participants really tried to arrange their match, we may allow a recess week. If they are still not played, then the Administration reserves the right to grant punishments.

In other situations such as playing a battle but somebody lagged out, or crashed then the game should be replayed ASAP with same factions/armies and player position.
As aformentioned, each case will be different and will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

Technical Issues

In the event of desynchronized Games participants will have to send the original logfiles(if possible) and the Battle Replay to the admins so they can watch the replay and form an opinion about the game. if the game was really desynchronized then a Game replay will be granted.

If the Replay is granted, then both participants will have to play with the Same Players and Factions as soon as possible.

There is no guarantee that if you got the Desynchronized message the game really was desynchronized so the admins will form their decision case by case.

To avoid cheats by alt tabbing please also make screenshots of the lag situation, the statistic score and save the replay/logfile.

In Game Battle Setup

1. Camera : Unrestricted
2. Arcade Mode : Disabled
2. Size : Normal Unit
3. Money : 15000 florins / player
4. Grassy Plains/Flatland
5. Season : Summer
5. Time of day : Morning
6. Weather : Calm
6. Red line, corner and hill camping are strictly forbidden and will be punished
7. Graphic settings on medium/AntiVirus off to ensure lagfree gaming

Other In-Game Rules

1. No artillery
2. No elephants
3. Max 6 of the same unit
4. Max 8 of cavalry (jav.cav are counted as cav.)
5. Max 8 archers (include archers/slingers)
6. Max 2 horse archers (counted as cav.)
7. Max 2 berserkers

The admins recommend each player to make screenshots of possible violated rules!

Factions and Attacking/Defending

The fixture list will be posted in a very deliberate manner. The participant on the left will pick a faction first. Then the other participant will chose a faction.

The host is allways considered as attacker !!!

In the second game vice versa etc etc.

Faction Available per round :

Every participant is only allowed to use each faction ONCE per round, but only from available faction per playing round.

Faction available for 1st round : Dacia, Gaul, Germania, Numidia, Spain, Thrace, Scythia, Greek

Faction available for 2nd round : Egypt, Pontus, Rome, Spain, Greek, Macedon, Numidia, Dacia

Faction available for 3rd round : Britannia, Seleucid, Armenia, Parthia, Thrace, Carthage, Germania, Scythia
