| For some reason you cant erase saved games from inside the game.  These saves can be as large as 50 and 80MB each. Not to mention, if you have several campaign running, your list can get rather long. If you want to erase them you have to do it manually.  Go here for XP: MyComputer/LocalDisk/Documents and settings/ /Application Data/The Creative Assembly/Empire/Save_games
Or here for Vista: Computer/Local Disk/Users//AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Empire/Save_games
I cant see them not patching this soon but for now, there you go. 
FYI: Application Data maybe a hidden file on Vista. If so you may have to do this to see your hidden folders:
Go to Start, then computer
Go to Tools
Choose "Folder Options"
Go to the View tab
Find the tab for "Hidden Files and Folders"
Choose "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
Click Apply and Ok
That will show all your hidden folders.
