Favorite Units:

I made this thread to find out everyones favorite units of each type.
I know many of us like multiple units but If you had to choose from cav, inf, missle, gun, art. Doesnt have to be the best, but youre favorite to choose.

Cav: Druzhina The butcher's cav "best bang for the buck"

Inf: Dismounted Druzhina "cant beat good knights, but I like them"

missle: dismounted dvor "great fighters armour piercing and range"

Guns: portugise arq "with armour upgrade looks like conquistadors"

art: serpentine "very good at hitting units"

Alright then... These are ALL MTW2

Arch: 'Armoured' Crossbowmen "Heavy Support"
Cav: Hungarian Hussar "Strike Without Warning"
Infantry: Scots Noble Pike "Organized Barbarians" (Tight-Ranked Rage)
Ballistics: Grand Bombard "Line Eraser"
Handheld Ballistics: Not Sure... I have limited MTW2 experience...

Cav: Men at arms "machiavelli's cav"

Inf: Billmen "10,000 men beat the 300 spartans eventually"

Arch: Pharoahs bowmen "if your lucky, you'll find some shade"

Guns: "none, they all miss anyway"

Art: ballista "no one ever expects the spanish inquisition"

Cha: Egyption chariots "run you cowardly bastages"

he didn't specify rome or med, but it makes sense as boru's favorite game is med

Jav: Numidian Javelineer "Playing Darts" (Lost his job recently to the Repeating Ballista)
Arch: Cretan Archers "It's Raining Bows and Arrows"
Cav: Companion Cavalry "A Man's Best Friend"
Chariotry: Scythed Chariots "Blades of 'Gorey'...he he"
Arch Cav: Persian Cavalry "Prototype Dragoons"
Infantry: Royal Pikemen "Old Standby"
Ballistics: Repeating Ballista "Automatic Javelineer"

I don't like eles... all they do is charge me head on and fall over. Their just a big fat roadblock... humph!

Mace

Cav: Stradiots.... No one can make the damage I do with a mix of fast cav and heavy...

Inf: Varangian Guard... THE, Butcher Infantry.
missle: Adventurier... you know it...
Guns: none... yet.
art: serpentine... I love em too.

cav: Cataphracts - strongest cav in total war
inf: peasants: useful for so many important things
arch: longbows- armor piercing tough units
art: serps- accurate and deadly
ha: strzelcy - great fighting and shooting units once heavily upgraded

Medieval II Total War

Cavalry- Famiglia Ducale "COMES EQUITES"

Infantry-Mongol Infantry "Death comes from both far and near"

Archers-Longbows "The death of French Knights"

Horse Archers-Mongol Heavy Archer Cavalry "Need I say more?"

Horse Archers- Scythian Noble Archers "Like Mongol Heavy Archer Cavalry... only heavier"
