| Obviously this is all about the armies I have developed and tested and triumphed with through Rome with merciless bloodshed. I think these may help in the upcoming tourneys. Also, when you pick a faction, its not so much about the factions strengths on its own (unless of course its a 1v1) but what it lacks that another faction has to pick up where it left off. For instance, use Rome, Parthia, and Egypt or Brits and you have yourself a great force to be reckoned with. Rome vs Rome Carthaginian Standard Seleucid Empire Egypt (My Personal) Parthia (with HA) Standard Pontus British (Zeke's Personal) Greeks (another basic but very effective) Standard Macedonian (One of my favorites) Macedon with Cretans (deadly against Chariot factions) Enjoy them, but remember to mod them depending on the faction you are fighting. -Alexander/Wolf | |

| my version of egypt, with my style of attack. Force the archer war, with that won because i have 8 archers then, i focus on cav, if he wont fight my chariots, fire on them with archers. once he loses cav, i march forward, hit the inf with phalanx and chariots in the rear. thats just how i prefer to use that army, it it rather versitile though, so it can adapt. | |

| Question: are these armies 12.5 k? Only reason I ask this is because I am on my work comp and can't build the army right now. These are very interesting builds. Good job Wolf. | |

| No, these are 15k CWB builds. Personally I enjoy TWPL rules more so then any other rule set. Is this upcoming tourney 12.5K? If so I can build some armies for those, I have experience there as well. | |

| All of those armies of your are 15k alex?? Cause that looks like alotta upgrades on those men Secondly, I disagree with your mace army. It has way too many archers, and they should be replaced with companions. The Mace Strategy isin't to bombard the enemy with arrows, it is to have a superior backbone and heavy support cav that can handle the other nations. Once your line has broken through, send all remaning cav with gen through hole and take care of stragglers. Then turn line around as the enemy in a last ditch effort probably ran his remaning cav around my empty flank when all my cavalry went through the hole to attack by backside. Victory. Obviously, it all depends on the situtation... (heavily stressed) I suggesst take away all standard archers and replace with 2 RP and 2CC. (with upgrades mabye, depends- mabye add another CA unit?) However, I do like the addition of the Light Lancers. With their high speed, lower cost, and high impact charge, during the midst of the battle, the enemy line won't see them coming from behind!!! OF COURSE, any and all of this can vary depending on situtation. Mace | |

| indeed i did post the rules, its in one of the tourney forums. and all of our builds will look differant than others cause we all have a unique style
i like to arch them to oblivian, than smash the rest with cav.
mace likes to hold a line then hit them from behind with cav, both are very good styles and win many games, but our builds will look completely differant.

| Mace, I agree completely that is a way to win a battle against lesser players. However in a tournament with such players as Altharion, and Ahille, and SR, and other such players the skirmish is one of the key factors to winning the match. Should you wish to fight in a different way, please go ahead (not to sound rude) but as Eve6 said we all have different players and the skirmish will destroy almost all opponents as Archers and Cav are all overpowered in the game.
Next thing, on cwb 12.5k Cav and Archers are even more important then on 15k cwb. Just remember this and plan accordingly.

| 12.5, that gives a lot of power to egypt now, if they would lower it to 10k, that would be perfect still, this is a 3v3, not all of us would need to skirmish. it makes the archer war harder, but if we say, ditch archers with parthia, you dont lose much and it can help out cav. but then, parthia is not a good example since its all arch and cav, ummm, well. a faction with real crap archers. its understandable to drop a couple, weaken you archers, an get light cav or weak inf for the sides. | |

| Ok guys I have some more armies for you. My play style has changed slightly but nothing brand new. I hope you enjoy them and maybe even test them. This first one is a Rome vs Rome taking advantage of Rome's weakness to heavy Cavalry. This is another Rome vs Rome only without the Infantry of the first one and slightly heavier cavalry. This is a standard 15k cwb Rome that is versatile in team games. This is a Roman Build I would use against a faction like the Seleucids who have strong infantry and cavalry. This is my (and half of RTW's) Scythia build. They are fun to play as since they are cavalry and archers only so they keep you on your toes and constantly clicking. This is a very strong Seleucid build for use against most factions. One last thing, if you guys have a faction you want me to build an army for against another faction who is giving you trouble just let me know and I will do my best. | |

| I need you to build a Thracian Army that can beat almost any Roman Army, even the builds you have. Thanks.

| Ok Mace I have an army for you. Keep in mind this is a very difficult task you need done. For Thrace to beat Rome the players as Thrace would have to play at an almost unbelievable level of skill and Rome would need to be having an "off" day. Here is as close as I think you can get vs Rome. I say its a hard task because Rome simply has some of the best Cavalry in the game and Romes Infantry is the best in the game. Thracia lack in both of those areas and her unit roster and track record proves it. Practice with it before going against anyone of decent skill. The key to using an army is to understand it forwards and back and know its weaknesses and plan on how to use its strengths. ****IMPORTANT**** Bastarnae have 2 hitpoints keep that in mind | |

| Thanks alot. I didn't realize bastarnae had 2 hit points, either I forgot or I never seemed to notice. I know what you mean when you say Rome needs to have an "off" day - A really off day. A degree of luck never hurt anyone . Thanks again, Mace | |
