Maps Maps and more Maps, you can have them too..

My humble apologies for not joining this glorious forum earlier... I'm forum illiterate, and been kinda busy on the following projects. I appreciate the opportunity of using this fine forum in the attempt to get some new maps into play (on-line), and maybe a scenario. We'll see how we fair.

I've put together some custom_locations.txt maps for on-line play....
Only the host is required to have custom location maps.

I've also put together a 3vs3 or single player scenario, for multi-player all players must have the scenario data in their MTW2 folders.

For those that dont know how to install custom maps:

1) go to your main med 2 install folder

2) find the folder called "tools"

3) run the file called: "unpack_all.bat"

4) go to the "data" folder in your main med 2 install folder

5) delete the following files or your game will crash when it tries to load:

descr_geography_new.txt
descr_geography_new.db

6) now again in the data folder, go to the "custom locations.txt" file

7) copy paste this....and any other locations you find for other maps in other map packs....to the end of the file. Dont overwrite existing entries:

I've never had to unpack my files when I added new custom maps. hmm... Do you mean this is how to find new maps to add?

Most of these are just the custom locations themselves. I know this due to communication with Thompson earlier, and we have swapped Map Locations, you may find some of mine here. . The scenario is also very fun, I have tried it alone, and was a blast.
